The ninth annual Friends’ Event/Fundraiser will be held at The General George C. Marshall House in Leesburg on Sunday October 2nd, 2016. In keeping with ties to the history of Loudoun County, this year’s topic will be Loudoun in the Great War. The focus will be on what the county was like in the year leading up to U.S. entry into the conflict, and how that effort changed Loudoun and its people. The speaker will be Dr. Terry Sharrer, a local historian, with a unique perspective on the political, social, and economic forces which shaped Loudoun. Please save the date and contact the Friends if you require more information on this event.
